Ending?

I've come to the end of my story and I don't know what ending to use; the generic happy ending or a slightly happy ending?

Two things

I need a new name. I've 'gone off' Ellen Page somewhat and I almost hate bricks. Obviously my love for a good old cuppa hasn't vanished as well. I can't think of anything though, not that it's important - nobody follows this - but if they did I'd like a good name. Oh well.

Also, having another day off has made me realise how boring it is to have nothing to do in the day. I could go out but that's not really an option so I stay in, do a bit of writing, watching and listening. Day time telly's awful so that's out the question, I really can't be arsed to read 'Lady Chatterley's Lover', and I'm at a bit of a loose end with the book. Oh well...again it seems, have to persevere.

Like this picture, it's a good film and this particular character was very entertaining.

Update: New name, bit shit but sounds deep(ish)

Days Off

Took a day off college today. Did all the usual things; got up, cuppa tea, select playlist or album to listen to on bus and then leave. Only when I left it was pissing it down and my ipod, although in my pocket, was getting wet. I'd only had about 4 hours sleep, I was already soaking before I crossed the street and the bus was almost definitely going to be packed. I though for a moment and then I swiftly turned on my heels and headed back inside, good thing I did too, I'd left the door open again.
I went back to sleep and awoke about 1pm had some dinner and a cup of tea and I find myself with so much to do but bizzarely no time to do it in. This is what always happen when we have days off. We do nothing. There's a million and one things I could be doing now; writing, reading, listening, watching. I do none of these things and am stumped for a reason why. I play on FIFA 2004 and I watch Tracey Beaker when I should be doing something constructive. I don't know, maybe I'll do something productive tomorrow or wednesday, I'm having those days off as well.

Colin

I remember the good old days when Colin (my cat) used to sleep on the end of my bed. He used to leave a lot of hairs but it was okay because I put a blanket down for him. Now though, he's never there and very seldom even enters my room. I remember the time he was cold outside so he knocked on the window for me to let him in (honest) but them days are gone. I miss Colin and his ways, everytime I wiggled my foot he'd look at me as if to say "What you doing?" Keep the look lingering for a while and then go back to his doze.

Lost In Translation

I love Lost In Translation. I can remember almost every detail of the night I first watched it. It was a Sunday, about 1:00am and I lay in bed, sleepless, restless and there was nothing else on. I flicked Film4 on and there it was. I had missed the first 30 minutes or so but was still immediately captivated by it. I went to HMV the next day after college to see how much it was. It was £10 and however much I longed to see it in full, I couldn't part with that much on one DVD. I went home defeated but went into 'CEX' the next day and it was £2. I watched it in full and was so chuffed when it turned out to be everything I thought it would and more.
This was in June I think and I hadn't seen it since then until one Sunday night in mid September. I put it in, hoping for the same reaction I gave the first time I watched it. I was moved again, but this time I felt a crippling loneliness overcome me. It lasted for a few days. I had to watch Scarlett Johansson singing 'Brass In Pocket' every day for about a week afterwards.
Just a few moments ago I realised how brilliant the above picture is; It's Scarlett Johansson, in rain, in Japan. I can only hope she's listening to Belle & Sebastian on her ipod and got wireless earphones, then the dream will be complete.

I've made a list

I'm making a list and I'm checking it twice,
who really gives a fuck about the goddamn price,
'Cause it's christmas
Christmas!
And you can have what you like!
As long as it's not another fucking bike!

Christmas Vol II

Christmas is a great time of the year. Music snobbery goes out the window, people don't mind watching shit films as long as there's a bit of snow involved and people eat sausages wrapped in bacon. No other time of the year allows people to that, why I ask? It's disgusting that's why. However, that doesn't mean it makes Christmas any less special, It'd take a lot more than two dead animal portions having sex to put me off Christmas.

What newspaper do you read?

I bought 'The Times' to make me look clever,
I read 'The Sun' to check the weather,
It made me cry, a man had died, his son read out a poem,
I put it down and returned to 'The Times' as a pretty girl walked by.

Christmas

Thoroughly looking forward to Christmas. 'A Christmas gift for you from Phil Spector' went on my ipod the other day and I'm going to buy 'The Bishops Wife' on DVD as well. The decorations will be put up in exactly one month today. Also, the conclusion(s) to the story I'm writing takes place on Christmas day. Oh yes, Christmas is coming.
